While our day to day goals often include boosting the success of our clients, we also like to take a look at the bigger picture past business and give back to the community. We’re not alone either, many multi-family industry leaders are alongside us; giving back to the great people within our communities.

ApartmentSEO® is humbled and honored to have participated in the annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball, which is an event held by the non-profit organization Chrysalis. Chrysalis lends a helping hand to the homeless and the struggling people of our community. Started in 1984, Chrysalis has since helped over 58,000 individuals by focusing on not only helping the homeless to acquire jobs, but to retain these jobs and work toward a better quality of life.

Everyone could use a second chance at some point, and with such a noble cause at the forefront it’s no surprise that the recent Chrysalis Butterfly Ball was such a success. The annual event which benefits Chrysalis and their mission to help the homeless get back on their feet had a record-breaking 800 attendees, featuring special guests such as Halle Berry who served as the presenter for the event.

Amongst the star-studded list of attendees, the event also honored Universal Pictures president of production Peter Cramer as well as hip artist Common. Cramer received the Spirit of Chrysalis award and afterward really shone a spotlight on the common struggles we all face, stating, “Our city can’t just be a city of dreams for some of us.”

Upon receiving his award, Common also recounted the first time he had visited a Chrysalis center, stating “When I first saw what Chrysalis was doing, I was in the proximity of change.” Common also implored the audience to be persistent in their endeavors to help and enact such change.

The night concluded as an overwhelming success with 1.6 million dollars raised. This fundraiser will help tremendously with Chrysalis’ goal to help 4,600 clients obtain employment by 2021. We support Chrysalis in their goal and encourage anyone interested in the organization or their charitable works to visit www.changelives.org.
